Mama Won’t Fly

by Jamie Wooten, Jessie Jones & Nicholas Hope
September 15 & 16, 2023 – Mingenback Theatre
rated: PG

Savannah Honeycutt agreed to get her feisty mother from Alabama to California in time for her brother’s wedding. The only problem is Mama won’t fly! The mother/daughter team has to race-the-clock to drive 2000 miles in four days. They not only navigate each other but also negotiate the cast of colorful characters between here and there. This comedy has all the Southern charm of unsweetened iced tea: it’s bitter AND refreshing! Don’t miss it!

Season ticket holders get a Southern Cooking Experience on Friday, September 15th starting at 6:15 in Mingenback Theatre.

Ding Dong

by Marc Camoletti & Tudor Gates
April 19 & 20, 2024 – Brown Auditorium
rated: PG-13 for situational humor

This comic romp starts with ‘men behaving badly,’ and quickly devolves from there. Bernard has discovered that his wife, Jacqueline, is having an affair with Robert. Being quite a businessman, Bernard presents Robert two options to compensate for the affair: either Bernard is allowed to sleep with Robert’s wife or Bernard will have Robert killed. This is a night of door-slamming, mistaken identity and physical comedy from the London smash hit of 2005.

The First Nighter meal of nouvelle French cuisine is Friday, April 19 at 6:15 in Mingenback Theatre.
