“The biology program has been an incredible experience for me, especially because of the faculty. The natural science professors genuinely care about connecting with their students, which has helped me succeed academically. They foster an open-door environment where students can feel comfortable asking questions outside of lecture, whether that be about class material or career advice. Additionally, working in the lab has been a great experience, as it is preparing me for my future career. In the lab, students get to work more hands on and apply what they’ve learned in lecture to real-life applications.

“After graduation, I plan to attend medical school to pursue my career goal of becoming a medical doctor.

“I currently have multiple on campus jobs and I enjoy them all! I am a Resident Assistant, a Debt Project Peer Mentor, a tutor, and a Natural Science Student Assistant. These jobs allow me to connect with students that I wouldn’t normally meet and help me increase my leadership skills. And the Debt Project has helped me tremendously by decreasing the amount of my tuition and overall helping me save money.”
