“Biology is not for the weak! This major does require a lot out of me. However, it is simultaneously rewarding, giving me the pre-requisite to achieve my goals and get into graduate school. For seniors to graduate the program they must complete a senior research proposal and then actually perform said experiment. I find this cool and daunting, but with the support of my advisors and the other natural science professors, this experience could enlist further research and open other doors that could be closed to me. Post-graduation, I hope to continue my education and get into a Master of Physician Assistant Program.
“The best aspect of McPherson College is the people. I can say with confidence that all these people care about me and are here and want to support me. This ranges from faculty to professional staff. Not to mention, it’s very easy to get involved and hold multiple positions; some even pay, creating a fulfilling college experience that I will cherish for many years to come.
“One of those peopple has been my Student Debt Project mentor. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience which is invaluable to me as a student. It is important to get these concepts down, such as budgeting, taxing, or credit management. I also serve as a debt project peer mentor, allowing me to share my experiences and advice on how to budget and use my money. Not to mention, the aspect of the college matching everything I put into it by 25% makes me happy. This makes paying off my bills a whole lot easier.”
