Scholarship Auditions
Band Auditions
Students should be prepared to play one technical and one lyrical selection. If you’ve taken a solo to contest, that’s just perfect. Or, you can play your district/state honor band audition excerpts if you worked up an audition for your district/state honor band. If you’ve never taken a solo to contest or auditioned for district/state honor band, Professor Hopkins can help you pick some excerpts from your band literature.
Professor Hopkins will also provide feedback on solo performances to assist in preparing for music festivals.
