McPherson College seeks dynamic and innovative candidates for the position of Resident Director. This is a temporary, 10-month exempt position Work for a college that has the distinction of being nationally recognized for 10 consecutive years as a “Great College To Work For!” This position is not eligible for college employee benefits.

The Resident Director acts as a primary administrator of residence hall activity in a residential unit. This is a live-in position and is responsible for providing information, ensuring safety, and promoting a positive college experience to students in a teaching and mentoring approach. The position participates in an on call rotation. This position reports to the Director of Residence Life. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years’ experience in student services/residential life. A Bachelor’s degree in student services, education, counseling, or related field is required; A Master’s Degree is preferred.
