McPherson College is seeking an energetic multi-tasker to join its Career and Experiential Learning and Financial Aid teams. The Careers Program Financial Analyst will dedicate focus toward student retention through various efforts that assist in all program analytics, student employment and career development, experiential learning opportunities, maintenance and development of off-campus employer relations, support of the student debt project and financial aid analytics and support.

The Careers Programs Financial Analyst is a full-time, nonexempt position. The successful applicant will be eligible for college benefits and will report to the Executive Director of Career and Experiential Learning and spend 25% of the workweek reporting to the Financial Aid doing analytical work for the Director of Financial Aid.

The ideal candidate is capable of engaging diverse student populations in a fast-paced environment and working across the campus community to foster and support student persistence.

The Career Programs Financial Analyst assists with the analysis, coordination and administrative support of the student debt project, student employment, and career programing through compilation of program assessment and statistics, produces detailed and summary reports, processes institutional aid for the student debt project, and performs administrative duties for financial aid.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in math plus 6 months experience or more in a financial aid office to include hands on experience with the FSAFA, knowledge of/and experience , proficiency with data analysis and reporting findings in writing and orally, utilizing formulas and data assessment, and be proficient with creating and delivering presentations and written material.  Additionally, excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential and a proficiency in using Microsoft Office products is expected. Advanced-level ability with Excel and any other Career and Financial Aid software such as Jenzabar, Handshake and Slat is required.

Nights and weekends may be occasionally be required.
