McPherson College welcomes enthusiastic applicants for an Athletic Facilities/Game Day Intern.

This is a part time, exempt, 10-month (August – May) position that reports to the Director of Athletic Facilities and Game Day Operations. This position is eligible for full college benefits.

The primary responsibility will be to support the goal of the department by elevating the fan and student athletic experience for all of McPherson College sporting events. This position is responsible for game day tasks, which will include, but not be limited to set up and takedown, on site administrator responsibilities, and assisting in various roles of competition sports information. Additionally this position supports all athletic facilities, both indoor and outdoor, by upkeep, maintenance, repair and improvement. In this role, there is an expectation of lawn/field care and preparation including mowing, trimming and dirt work, moving/lifting of moderate to heavy materials, field striping and minor repairs of turf surfaces. All duties are performed with a teaching and educational mindset.

A bachelor’s degree is required. One-year experience within the sports management field with game day operations and procedures is preferred

The ability to lift, drag or carry up to 50 lbs. and a valid driver’s license are required.
