McPherson College seeks an engaging student-centered Physics Adjunct Instructor for the 2025-26 academic year.
The person in this appointment will teach major and general education courses in Physics (algebra and calculus based), maintain regular office hours, report attendance, file midterm and final grades, and provide a productive learning environment for students.
A minimum of a Ph.D. in physics or a related field is preferred (candidates with a master’s degree will also be seriously considered). The ideal candidate will have professional, instructional or scholarly experience in one or more of the following areas: engineering, mathematics, or physics. Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of high-quality teaching experience at the collegiate level. Candidates must possess the ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods, relate to diverse students, and facilitate student learning. Special consideration will be given to candidates with online teaching experience.
